Along with a record label, we are also launching a brand new podcast called, 'The Otter Chaos Podcast'. Catchy eh? Krissie will be hosting a once a month discussion with creatives across all of the arts, not just music, with a view to delve into the mind of the artist and to just chew the fat with likeminded souls. With a wishlist as long as you can probably imagine, Krissie has reached out to friends and peers who have inspired her in some way to kick off the first tranche of recordings. As is customary the introductory podcast will be a solo recording, so if you have any questions you'd like Krissie to answer (within reason), then why not fire an email to:

OCR is the brainchild of heavy metal vocalist and voice actor Krissie Kirby (Rites to Ruin, Triaxis). With her latest band, Rites to Ruin, having released their debut EP in 2021, Krissie noticed that the admin of uploading and registering works on platforms can take an inordinate amount of time. Being in a band herself, Krissie is only too aware of the pressures on bands where the details of how to approach writing splits, registering works with PRS, mechanical rights etc can be a bit of a minefield and often is being done on top of full time jobs and family responsibilities. With her years of experience co-managing a touring band, along with promoting her previous endeavours in Cabaret, the Fitness Industry and, more recently, as a Voice Artist, Krissie has a wealth of knowledge to help burgeoning bands navigate the still murky waters of the music industry. Plus, with the Triaxis back catalogue slowly disappearing from digital distribution, this proves the perfect opportunity to create a space that ensures bands also retain a legacy space when they cease performing/recording. The vision behind Otter Chaos Records is a simple one. 'To create a space where understanding the business of music, promotion and distribution is simple and straight forward. We have been created by musicians for musicians'
